Hi, I am interested in buying core i5, So could you suggest a good Mobo with support for non SATA HDD around 6-7K and Do I need to Get 3X1Gb DDR3 Memory for best output or 2x1GB will work faster. ( I am not sure if we need to put 3 same memory modules in parallel to work faster on DDR3 like 2 for DDR2, or # in parallel is only for X58 chipsets?)

as far as i know,it's a dual channel system so u can keep ur 2*1gb kit!!there's no futher performance boost if u use tri channel!!

I heard somewhere that Intel is gonna announce price cut on X58 mobos as low as $175. In that case, i7 920 will be better.

Gigabyte P55 UD2 is available for 7k with lynx..Biostar may come up with cheaper motherboard. Gskill trident 2*2gb 1600mhz C8 is available for 5.8k with primeabgb (real VFM)

Well, the cheapest combo ATM is

Core i5 i750 2.66Ghz @ 11.2k
Gigabyte P55 UD3 @ 11.5k
4GB DDR3 (2*2) @ 6k

Total ~ 29k

i think x58 setup makes more sense at this point..

Well i'll retract whatever i have said earlier.

I got a little carried away to upgrading cor i9 on x58 but after reading this x58 makes no sense.

First i5 750 just snatches crown for i7 920 and wins the battle, and core i9 to be priced @ 1500$ by digitimes

i5 750 defeats i7 920 and i can now no longer see any reason to spend 8k more.

Cheapest LGA 1156 ATM combo

Core i5 i750 2.66Ghz @ 10.2k
Gigabyte GA P55 UD2 @ 7k
4GB DDR3 (2*2) @ 5k

Total ~ 22k
