CPU/Mobo Core2duo - Is it available in Kochi, Kerala?

Hi there,
Sold my PC for for almost scrap value and am now looking out to gift myself a new one :) Before I continue, I'd like to say that I live in Kuwait and have a cousin who will be coming here in about 2 weeks. I'd like to get me a core2duo processor, but do no know if its available out there. He checked, but got replies that the shop is accepting orders, but do not have it as yet. If some one can help me on this ... telling me where (if) it is available in Kochi, that would be great!

Next ... assuming its not available :( (yeah, I know that I'd be dejected), would the folks here recommend that I get the D930 or a P4 3.0Ghs 2MB processor? I guess its going to be the D930, but would that heat more than the latter?

I do not know too much about overclocking and may not do it ... still, which Mobo would you'll recommend for the D930 and the P4? I'll be keeping this one for atleats 4 to 5 years, and hence want something thats likely to last that long ... with a lil bit of OC experiments!

Looking forward to hear that the core2duo is available in Kochi ..

Can't say whether it's available in Kerala, but why don't you buy one from Funky or Darklord? That's how most of us got our Core 2 processors. Head over to the GO thread and let them know.
 
I don't think Core 2 Duos are available in Kochi yet; but I think dealers might be accepting orders now. They might order it for you if you ask. There are Core 2 Duo advertisements in many shops in Kochi.

I once asked a dealer if Core 2 Duos were available, he told me that one costing 5000 bucks was available:) ... guess he did not know what he was talking about.

Regarding Kuwait; I think the availability of hardware parts in Kuwait is much worse than in India; Kuwait is certainly no Dubai.

MJP, yeah, Kuwait is no Dubai and is certainly behind times ... though they get rather upset when we mention that. I had a similar experience too! A guy told me that he had C2D and it turned out to be the Pentium Ds

Now that you mentioned Dubai, guess I'll check with a friend if they have it in Dubai and if he can get me one.
