Corrupted Master Partition Table ( MPT )

Hdd - Seagate Free Agent 500 GB
Initial Partition Layout :
1st partition -20.0 GB
2nd partition -111.x GB
3rd partition -111.x GB
4th partition -111.x GB
5th partition -111.x GB

:hits elf:
Got mad
Used FlashBoot ... to get 1st partition bootable ... booting Free Dos which relied on FAT ( forgot FAT filesystem limitations .. 2 GB max Partition size )
Created it

Restarted System

Tried to Boot via USD HDD ... it did,nt booted

Did Reset ..... started OS , nd Saw all gone
Now therez a Single Partition Showing up with Size 1.76 GB

Partition table back / repaired

any utilities for the same ?

Welcome to the Frontpage Download and burn the disc.. Use it and when the desktop opens open the terminal and type testdisk. .Follow the onscreen command and you are done..

I have repaired my table from it quite a few times

did,nt worked , now testing TESTDISK

1) restore MBR via DD / Third Party Utility does the job

2) Recreate partitions aligned on the same SECTORS also does the job

3) Active@ UNDELETE (BEST Gui Based)

3) TESTDISK (best IMO...CLI TUI based)

and ofcourse,, i am not having that OLD scenario setup, but producing simulations isn't tad hard.

and a bit more to confirm ... regarding Extended partitions and EBR linked chains
