Storage Solutions Corrupted Micro SD Card. Help....

Hi

I have a 2gb micro sd card. My wife accidentaly ejected it from her 5233 while the phone was accessing it.

Now it shows only 249 mb capacity. Have tried deleting the partition by acronis and reformatting but still it shows up as 249mb.

What can be done... :(

Try to get it formatted through a camera like canon. I once had an issue with 8 Gb MicroSD, a format through camera fixed it.

The card may be corrupt, I mean physically. That way certain storage areas of the card is not accessible. Hence the reduced capacity. You may freshly format it and re-use it with reduced capacity but then this is a risky proposition, as other areas may fail also.

I will suggest for you to recover whatever data you can from this card (some recovery s/w can do that) and go for a fresh new card.
 
I've seen this problem with quite a few cheap un-branded cards that show reduced size after a format......is it one of those or a branded one?
