Storage Solutions corsair 8b pendrive bought on 14-04-2010 but manufacturing date is 2008

hey members,

i have recently bought a corsair flash voyager 8gb pendrive via prime abgb

now the problem is the manufacturing date is 2008

and the warranty is for 10 yrs

so will i get the warranty till 2018 or 2020 ????

i m asking because i have bought this for my friend and i think he is surely gonna ask me about this

what should i do ???

return this to prime and ask for 2010 manufactured one ??

and please can anyone give me the link for checking warranty status on corsair site, i m unable to find it

its very strange that the corsair date marking is 2008.plz check that does it have any importer sticker on that.Also you have to keep dealer's bill & product package to avail the warranty, anyway its first to confirm whether its a genuine cosair India product (by checking importers sticker).

from were did you got the data that its made in 2008.Also as per your photo the importers sticker is missing.If the sticker is missing then it will be an old stock imported by grey channels or may be a company replaced old product.

I believe the warranty date depends on your bill date & not on the manufacturing dates of goods..

although not very sure about this particular case...

hi, please do two things :-

please call or email corsair India RMA by calling toll free 1-800-4255464 or emailing indiaservice@corsair.com with your product serial number & part number.Also email/ask them that your Corsair product has no India Importer's sticker.They will confirm/email you the exact details on your corsair Product warranty period.

Where is the manufacturing date on the pic ??

surely the drive will have a serial number in it. Check the warranty status through corsair website. but i am not sure such a facility is there for corsair....
