hi guys,

I recently bought 2 Corsair CM2X2048-6400 2GB ram sticks. But my memory controller in my mobo (gigabyte MA780GM-US2H) has a problem and it does not work in dual channel. I tested these sticks individually and both sticks work fine. And i tested it in dual channel in my friends comp. It works absolutely fine. I cannot send my mobo to rma as it takes time and i always need my comp. I am using 1 stick and selling the other ram stick for Rs. 1100/- + shipping. It has got 10 years warrenty. Its as good as a new one.
It costs Rs. 1500 + vat for a new one.

Its 3 weeks old and not used. Just used it to test if the ram is working.

By the way I think you have to send both sticks for RMA even though only one develops any problem 'coz of matched pair... Please confirm...

yes u are right. Both sticks work fine individually in my comp and in dual channel in my friend comp. My mobo has some problem with its dual channel memory controller

Err.... :S it was not for RAM's condition but in the event one of the RAM develops a snag after selling individually... Then I guess both RAM needs to be sent for RMA not one since they are matched pair...

Of course OP has stated that mobo is having the problem...

No.But these rams came in seperate packages. So if anything happens you can send only one for rma.

Anyway if anyone is intrested i will sell both the sticks
