I wanna buy a new SMPS for my new PC......I have 2 HDD, and 1 graphics card ....2 Ram.....CPU-I3........which one is best?? May be i will buy 3rd gen intel cpu in future and a standard GPU...plz advice me....

@partha60, it will be better if you go for the Seasonic S12II 520W. It is a much better and more efficient design than the Corsair CX 600.

Well @partha60 there is not head to head comparison between the two SMPS because they are both in different spectrum's of performance --

But here are a few reasons I pitched the Seasonic as a better product --
  • 80% Bronze efficiency, vis-a-vis 80+ Standard compliance on part of the Corsair CX 600;
  • rated for performance @40 Degrees Celsius, the CX on the other hand is rated for peak output on 30 Degrees Celsius;
  • Seasonic was the OEM designer for a lot of initial Corsair SMPS's.

Here are reviews of the products -- Seasonic S12 II Bronze 520W Review / Gold and Bronze: Seasonic Power Supply Units Roundup - X-bit labs / Corsair Builder Series Power Supplies | silentpcreview.com

Hope this explains the situation better, Cheerio!!

Thanks a lot...

I have APC 600 VA UPS. is this UPS compatible with seasonic 520 watt??

It should be compatible, but depending the load on the SMPS the backup time will be severely curtailed. Because a ~600VA unit can deliver steady output of ~300W -->350W for a reasonable time-frame, in case your SMPS is drawing more heavily from the UPS say ~400W the backup time will go down thanks to the extra power draw. I can estimate under the most optimistic circumstances the UPS will be able to hold load for ~1 -->3 minutes [All this is pure guesswork as I do not have your RIG specifications].

Hope this answers your query, Cheerio!!
