I have an offer from my friend swapnil (Member of primeabgb) of getting a CORSAIR GS600 @ 3500.

My rig :

Athlon X3 440 unlocked to X4 @ 3.6GHz, MSI 770TC45 Full atx mobo, 4GB 800MHz DDR2 Corsair ram, Gigabyte superb 460 PSU, Seagate 7200.12 1TB, Seagate 7200.12 500GB, Hitachi desktar 160GB, SAPPHIRE 6850 1GB, Cooler master Hyper TX3 Cpu cooler, Zebronics bijli cabinet modded with transparent acrylic side panel, Sunbeam cold cathode tubes - 2 (BLUE), amigo Blue led fan, LG DVD writer, Acer S201 20inch LED monitor, Sunbeam acrylic keyboard, techcom mouse, Altec lansing VS2621

I need it coz its more powerful than gigabyte superb460 and has a NICE BLUE LED FAN (cherry on the cake)

Shud I go for it??

I m aware that this one from corsair is CWT OEM build

No a better choice would be the Corsair VX 450 OR FSP Blue Storm Pro 500W.
The build quality (internal components used) and warranty support (3 years vs. 5 yrs) of the GS series is not as good as the VX series, that is why stick to VX- series OR on budget FSP is a great company.

What is your main usage because even a VX 450W should be able to handle your current system.

I use my rig only for gaming, and from the fact the my cabby has acrylic side panel with 2 blue led fans and 2 blue ccfl's, so I was considering a psu with led light and powerful , This psu its 80+ cert. and is 48A on 12V rail. So would you recommend the same considering my requirements???

Go for the FSP Bus Storm Pro 500 in that case. The GS series from Corsair is simply not worth it.

3.5k is good pricing for that model :) (Market price is ~4k)
But the single rail 33A provided by the VX450 is sufficient for your rig IMO. So try to get an offer on VX450 for ~3k (Market price ~3.4k)
As Alpha says you will get more warranty on it and VX also has slightly better internals.

Yeah 3.5k and that blue led + 600w made me think really :clap: coz I would always consider a vx450 in that price range, But What if i put my hands on gs600 at 3.5k for the system I am using...???

So looks like what we were expecting. The load regulation took a small hit vs. the VX550, and the ripple (already mediocre) got slightly worse. The capacitors are from "Man Yue" and according to Travis (the reviewer) are not as good as Japanese caps, but are still fairly decent. I'm going to class them in the same tier as Teapo and OST then. The heatsink design was obviously half-assed, there's barely any fins. And the build quality is solidly average.
About what was expected. Assuming these retail in the expected price range (~$70) then this would be a decent choice vs. the OCZ SXS 600W or GXS 600W. It can't hold a candle to other Corsair PSUs though, except the CX400 and maybe the VX450.

Yeah its not bad for the price on offer and you wont have a load of above ~350w.
So up to you to decide on which is more important. VX450(Longer warranty, slightly better components, performance) vs GS600(more upgrade headroom, Blue LED) :P

hey, you can find a gs800 review, so maybe the build quality of gs600 can be considered the same, only power output will be diff.

I have gone through the GS800 reviews. And as you can see performance is slightly lesser than old TX series. The new TX V2 performance is better than old TX.
But eventhough all the GS series are CWT OEM i would prefer to check the particular model review. Just IMO and all that :)
As i said its upto you to decide which is more important to you and both PSU are good enough for the price on offer and your system config (VX450, GS600)

How about a seasonic 520 bronze at 3.9K ??? No blue led though;)
Great PSU...but not available anywhere... If its available in your city then grab it eyes closed... its a great PSU (80+ Bronze Certified + 5 years warranty) and johnny guru gave this PSU a 9.5/10 rating...

if you can find the seasonic then go with it otherwise stick to the vx 450/550. Hardware Secrets have tested the bigger brother of the GS 600 the GS 800 and overall they found it to be very good for the price.

Go for GS600 since you have a nice offer for it, I would not reccomend buying it brand new since there are better alternatives (VX550) but in your case its a good deal and fits your requirements.
