Storage Solutions Cost of Recovery of Crashed HDD

Hi folks,
My HDD has crashed. It is a case of physical damage. It is not detected by the BIOS so I cannot try any s/w tricks on it. I want to give it for professional data recovery. I have 2 questions to ask:
1. How much will it cost?
2. Any recommendations on where to give it?

It is a 1 TB WDC green edition.

1.Cost will vary from Shop to Shop..

2.You Can try Nehru Place.

Since its not getting detected,I guess the problem is with the upper board,so data would remain intact.(Had a similar problem with a Samsung 1Tb,got repaired for 400 Bucks)
 
Hi! Thanks for the instant reply. I meant to ask which shop in Nehru Place. Though I know NP has many, but I want to go to some tried and tested shop.

Also I am thinking isn't 400 too darn cheap? How it is possible?! Great that you got it done so for cheap :)
 
Go with branded guys & they will charge around 20000 Rs,

As you are from Delhi side, Check with Amarbir, He is into Data recovery.
 
mine 500 gb hdd stop showing in bios (i think due to bad firmware) ,so i got my data recovery in 1800/rs in nehru place withing 2 hours.
 
yes even my WD external hd has gone kaput. need to recover mine too. I had done it for a friend of mine once. Did it for 1500 bucks in Nehru Place. You have to bargain and then see.
