^^I'm pretty sure that one isn't the costliest..

The costliest-anything usually have diamonds and other precious stones on them for some reason.. :|

1)Diamond ones are priced between US$60,000 to US$4,500:crazeyes: ,depending on the size and the quality of the diamond used.
2)The Swarovski crystals comes in between US$110 and US$200:)
3)whereas the aluminium earphones can be all yours for as low as US$20:bleh:

^ They look like casings for iPod stock earphones. Even if I had all the money in the world, I would rather go for those diamond ones with at least ep630 inside them :P

Thx for lot of comments.

Im only now talking abt ear phones and not headsets.

Also don't point those made with jewelery as anything made with jewelery would be costly.

Only point out that ear phones pioneered with latest technology for its quality sound and quality micro parts

Regarding the HD800, it would sould nothing great if you connect it to your onboard sound card. You would need at least a good $1000 amplifier to match the HD800. Plus some nice $300 or so cables to ensure you get a very clean signal and of course a nice $500 or so DAC.

Even if you plan to go portable, you NEED an amp to make a good earphone better. If you spend that $550 on the Shures without spending anything on a good amp, you are missing out a lot.
