Could you guys share any tips/suggestions on couriers and shipping?

How do you guys usually ship stuff? what courier companies are good? how much does it cost on average? What about the packing material ?

I've never really tapped into the second-hand market till now.

Packaging depends on the material to be shipped how sturdy or fragile it is. You can pack it securely inside a box using papers, bubble wraps, thermocol etc. materials.
Courier cos. also help you with the stuff either free or chargeable basis.
As for shipping, it entirely depends which one is the closest to your home or if a buyer prefers any specific partner to be shipped through.

that sucks. did you find any company that does usa tracking and sends for cheap? cost of rpi and cost of shipping would be same for Fedex/Bluedart i guess.
