Couldnt Import images form canon a560

i just got my cannon a560 digi cam but iam not able to import image from it i installed the software from the cd which came with it but my camera is not getting detected but when i connect the camera to the pc i get a sound but it is not getting detected please help:huh:
 
Check the manual, it will tell you how to connect manually when its not getting detecting automatically. (it is there ... if not then i will post it)

I ll suggest to reinstall the software from CD.

no dude i refered the manual nad nothing was there about the camera not getting detected i reinstalled the drivers and yet my camera is not getting detecteed when i connect my camera to the pc i get the dudong sound u know the sound that u get when u conect a usb to the pc but i no where can see the camera please help
 
check in the device manager...if there is some issue it shud show up there.

connect to back usb ports.

try n post back :)

tried that the "detected " sound came and i my camera is'nst getting detected please help i also checked device manager and there is no change there
 
get a card reader and use it, simple. if you store pics on the onboard memory as well, empty the card, put card back, xfer pics into the mem card and use with card reader. simple :P

thats what I do, no driver haggles,no long USB data cables. my lappy has a SD card reader so no issues :D

Nz, keep device manager open. In view tab, check Show hidden devices as well. Then connect ur cam and c if it gets detected in the device manager even for a sec :P

Also, try on any other computer. All you need is Xp installed. No software is required.
 
Hi, Did you ever find a solution for downloading your pics off of Canon A560.
I have done all the things you did, nothing works, odd thing is, it worked the 1st time I did it & hasn't ever since. Also makes the sound of detection,BUT, nothing is there
 
My camera has different connection mode selections option that pop up on the camera LCD when you connect the camera to the PC.

If you get the same, you can try selecting another mode. Try connecting with the camera both on and off.
