Counter Strike online...help needed

We are three friends living in the same town. We want to play counter strike among ourselves online. I have played CS on LAN, but dont know how to play online with the selected friends online.

Please can someone guide me??

And second thing is tow friends have 512kbps UL connection and third one 2mbps. Will it destroy the fun by making the game lagging etc?
 
You can use applications like Hamachi to create a VPN and your friends can join you by connecting through direct ip, or they should see the server under LAN tab in CS. You can also use Garena to enter a CS room and create a server, your friends will be able to join you if they are in the same room. If you have a static IP, you can just create a server and your friends can connect directly, no VPN software needed.
 
As far as the connections go, 512 is enough. IMO, the one amongst you with the lowest latency and highest bandwidth should use setup the server.
