This is the motherboard on the other PC will it take a SATA drive ? or just IDE ?
Can I have both SATA & IDE HDD's Connected to the PC.
Will it take just DDR1 or both DDR1 & 2 '?

what about a decent 1000-1200 Rs Graphic card to work with my 42 inc plasma

1) 754 mobo's can use SATA hdd with IDE....although you might need a bios update... you can see the motherboard to check the sata port..or chk the motherboard manual..
2) its DDR 1 strictly....no DDR2
3) 1k - 1.2k cards which can handle a 42" plasma ..hmm.... no idea...minimum I can say is 3450 for 2.9k

nvidia 7200 would be around 1.4k but i don't know if it can handle it....

PS : I almost forgot..... 754 motherboard has a AGP slot....so gfx card options get limited by tht.... maybe u can find a 6200 for tht price....

K Most of that was french but here is a picture of the Mother board, Currently the pc is attacted to the Plasma but i need something that would work with vista
also if i upgrade to 2 GB would it work with vista ?

well u see u have to buy a AGP card for tht PCI e is the ne current slot.... AGP is end of life now....which means its difficult to get a AGP card now, also u might have to pay a premium for it.....

Also... DDR is also discontinued....
512 Mb ddr ram cost me 3.5k 2 years back....so getting DDR ram might be tricky too.... and it will be expensive thn DDR2 ram

You can't fix DDR 2 to DDR slot.... :(

^^ hmmm my bad.. but his CPU z clearly says its 8x agp.... picture might be wrong but CPU z is rarely wrong....

Both IDE and sata are equal as far as ur board is concerned as 754 won't be able to use the high transfer speeds of SATA II anyway.....

So its upto u what to use...

My advice ...stay away from vista for such a config...VISTA not designed for semprons and PCI gfx cards.... RAM won't matter if your CPU can't handle the load...

Use windows XP FTW :D

so let me see if I got it correct

Both SATA & IDE will work together only DDR 1 will work and I can use any PCI video Card available in the market

Now

need a video card that would work with vista and a 42 inch screen (TV) and in the 1000 - 1200 Rs range.

also if i upgrade to 2 GB would it work with vista ?
 
Yet another question on this, :) i know i know ...

so my motherboard can only take ddr 1 as memory but if i get a PCI-E Graphics card ( the AGP 8x is the on board card) lets say GeForce 7300GT 512 MB DDR2

Now this has ddr2 memory will this work ?
