I am planning to buy a Cowon D2... I've put this up here so that I can discuss about it and get reviews from someone who owns it.

P.S. I am getting a Cowon D2 4GB for 8k (New)

This is kind of urgent as i need to decide soon... So if some of you could just lemme know if this tag of 8k for a new D2 is fine... or should I wait for someone to sell their D2 ?
 
Which version of D2 is available in India? I mean there are 2 versions
1. D2 DAB
2. D2 (non-DAB)

So which version is available here... And does the box of the product mention anywhere if it is a DAB or or not...
 
Hey regarding price, i can not comment.But for the features it has... its the top player...Buy it eyes closed :-)
 
DAB I think is Digital Audio Broadcasting. It's strictly a radio feature. Not really useful. The Cowon D2 DAB also runs on different firmware.

I bought the 8GB D2 last week through KMD for around Rs. 8800/-. So as far as price goes i guess that's ok.

I'm loving the player. It kept restarting at random but a firmware update fixed that. Videos look great and the card slot is pretty useful too.

You got it for 8.8k ? It's available here in india officially throught the cownonindia website for 9k, with warranty and free shipping all over india.

I know that DAB is a radio feature but still why not get the DAB version instead of the non-DAB version if you can... Will most probably buy it on tuesday evening...

Hmmm, the Indian site lists the 8GB D2 at 11,000/- when i last looked at it.
I thought the DAB was $20 more than the regular D2 ..... but I never use the radio, makes no sense for me ;)
Does India have DAB coverage?
