CPU/Mobo CPU cooler for 1.5-2k

Budget can be streched to 2k.All I want is good CPU cooler.My Pentuim D 930 is running really hot 46-47 idle and 65 under full load.My current heatsink is cheap 250rs junk.So please suggest best under this budget.By the way is OCZ Vanquisher good enough?

thats NOT hot................................. Peak summers , such temps are quite normal.....

Still if u are persistent abt buying, Anything above a OCZ Vanquisher wud be a waste.

I have these temps since last year and because of this I can't play games.PC reboots when it crosses 67-68C.My nieghbour's PC idles at 37-38 and 50-51 under stress.So it is not only because of summer.

Wooot!? Damn....... i suspect that ur Graphics Card / Mobo / HDD / RAM is getting overheated and causing the reboot

And regarding the CPU temps, re-apply the thermal paste, clean ur heatsink and im sure temps will come down to less than 55c under stress. i hope u r using intel stock heatsink... if not, then buy a OCZ vanquisher for 1.3k.. EXCELLENT VFM Cooler, will give u huge Overclockability w/o raising temps beyond 60c
 
Ahh. 1.5k mark Get the Vanquisher then.

I remember my Pentium D 920 used to idle around 55 and load 90+ lol.

Then instead of getting a cooler i changed the darn cpu. Pentium D's are 90nm dude, u shld expect this kind of Temps their stock volts are 1.4V
 
Mine is 930 Preseler.It is 65nm and runs lot cooler than other Pentuim Ds.By the way what about stock voltages?Mine requires only 1.26.I don't want so high temperatures.First year this CPU ran really cool but now it is giving problems:(
 
Hmm. I really Recommend a cpu change. I know if its not giving problems then why change. But Trust me Get atleast the E5200 if u can. Its gonna run a Lot Cooler and faster
 
I wud say buy a Vanquisher for now if ur budget is limited n u dont want higher speed... Then later buy a e5200 and put vanquisher on it and hence OC it to 3.4Ghz :hap2:



Choice is urs..

OCZ Vanquicher now @ 1.5k ... then e5200 @3.4Ghz later @ rs.3.5k

OR

e5200 @ 3.0Ghz (Stock cooler) NOW for 3.5k

Both are equally good options.
 
My current CPU is good overclocker and I am planning 4.0ghz after I get Vanquisher:p .New CPU will mean new motherboard also as my current one supports only 65nms and has 800 FSB.
 
lol u gotta be kidding.... Pentium D cannot do 4.0Ghz! :rofl:

Anyways, Yes then choose option 1.. Get OCZ for now and enjoy overclocking,.
