CPU/Mobo CPU + MB for ~17k

brothers i want CPU+MB combination for a budget of around 17k

H/W requirements :

proccy: ( must be dual/quad)

MB: must support DDR3, good audio, internal Graphics not required

(ram not included in the budget)

My usage:

average gamer around 30 hours a week

I need more processing power to run my project in matlab (text processing)

I may run two instances of matlab at the same time

i prefer intel for proccy and any cheap and best MB

At present iam using C2D E7200 + some worst MB i have ever used(Zeb 945)

on exchange how much can i get for both of them (15 months old)

is that E7200 is good enough for my needs??

if so i can change the mother board and pay more to buy a new graphic card

is there any MB suitable for E7200 that supports DDR3????

Dude sell ur cpu + mobo + ram for 5-8k max.

Grab i5 rig .

CPU : Core i5 750 - 10.2k ( Quad core )

Mobo : Gigabyte GA P55 UD2 - 6.5k

Total - 16.7k

At this price settle for nothing less than an i5 rig. It is better than any amd rig at this price.

Enough for ur requirements

Note : U will have to buy DDR3 ram for this rig. DDR2 won't work.

Go for:-

Phenom II 955 ~9k

Asus M4A785TD-V EVO ~6.7k

Gskill Tridents 2*2GB DDR3 1600MHz C8 ~5.8k

Ram was not included in budget.

Why settle for Phenom II when he gets i5 in his required budget(budget excludes rams)

No point going for Phenom II 955. i5 is much better than PII 955 and both priced at 9-10k and mobos both equal to 6.5-6.7k , i see no reason why he should take Phenom II 955 knowing i5 is less power hungry and better performing than Phenom II 955 at that price.
