CPU/Mobo CPU/mobo combo for VT-D/IOMMU/AMD-VI

Hi guys,
I need help picking a processor for a new build for virtualization with PCIe pass through and gaming. I have narrowed it down to A10 6800K / A10 5800K / A8 6600K.
The 6600k is 7.5k, which is 2.5k cheaper than 6800k. Will it be a bottleneck if I decide to run it native with 5770?
The board will be ASRock A85X Extreme 6.
The cheapest Intel options with VT-D support are core i5s and those start with 11k+. Along with that I will need to spend ~7k for a decent Z77/Z68 or a 1150 chipset motherboard, which becomes too costly.
FX 4300 and 6300 have too big of a TDP, no IGP and a weaker IPC for the price.
Thanks in advance.

6600k should be good enough I think. Or wait and get the 7600k which is significantly better and probably has better graphics than the 5770 that you propose on using.

Actually very few intel motherboards support VT-d. If it explicitly mentions VT-d is supported, only then it supports the feature as VT-d also requires some bios support. Even with a supported chipset such as Z87 or Z77, there's no guarantee that VT-d will be supported correctly unless explicitly mentioned.

AMD is a far better choice for directed i/o.
