CPU - Intel Core i-3 530 ~ 5k

MotherBoard - Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 ~ 3.6k

Ram - 2GB Kingston DDRIII RAM ~ 1.65k

Cabinet - Generic Cabinet w/o SMPS ~ 0.6k

PSU - FSP SAGAII 350w ~ 1.5k (Dont skimp on the PSU)

Total: ~12.3k

Btw whats the existing config?

Get a decent 2nd hand GPU like the HD4670 ~ 3k when u have enough cash to spare.

I am getting a XFX 9500Gt GPU For 1.8K , I guess it will be enough for me for the time being.

Existing Config is KAPUT, Its going into Scrap :P

i3 530 is the Best processor that I can get in an Intel ? Is there any Core2Quad that performs better and is in the same price level ?

Can I get a ASUS motherboard in the price range ~4K ?

C2Q costs ~7k and is pretty outdated now. The i-3 530 is excellent in ur budget. The Asus P7H55 M LX ~ 4k is a good entry level H-55 mobo.

Decided
Intel i3 530
2GB Kingston DDRIII RAM
Cheap Cabinet :ashamed:

Undecided
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2 Vs P7H55 M LX (Help me choose between these two considering things like Service, Durability, Other features etc) (Or something better in ~4K)
PSU - FSP SAGAII 350w ~ 1.5k (Or Something better in the same price range)
GPU - XFX 9500Gt *Used* 1.8K

ASUS P7H55-M LX ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

- 6x SATA ports facing sideways that won't get blocked by big graphics card

- DVI out for LCD monitor

- Full-time Power Guardian to prevent damage due to power surge from PSU

- Burnt & Corrosion Warranty

Asus P7H55-M LX Intel H55 Express

The Intel integrated graphics is good enough for HD movies iirc but you may need a good graphics card for playing latest games.

If someone has tried gaming on the integrated core i3 graphics, they may post their observations/experience.

I am not sure how a 9500GT(DDR3?) fares in latest games and if it worth buying a used one.

I would suggest a HD4670 at least imho (used to be approx 2.5K for used one).

Entry-level case from VIP/Zebronics etc may cost you 0.8K-1K approx. Not sure if you can get anything cheaper- like some Intex, iball or some generic/no-name case.

Most cheap cases come with single 80mm fan at the back- try to get one that has space/option to fit at least 2x 80mm fans (if not a single 120mm fan like the initial batches of Zebronics Bijli that costed 1K odd w/o PSU)

In the 1.5K-2K pricerange, the FSP SAGAII 350 and 400 models are maybe the only ones that are somewhat reliable- not sure if anything else decent enough has arrived in that price range.
