Hey TE members,
My bro's pc got all messed up. What happened was there was water leak which got into the pc unit.
My bro not realising something like this has happened switched on the pc which incidentally worked on the day of leak.
The next day it did not boot and he opened the unit to find water into the cabinet. We found how the water got in.
Since the pc does not boot we are assuming the worst (mobo and processor has fried).
Before we can confirm it, I wanted to know which is the best cpu and mobo combo under 8k.
The usage would be very heavy browsing and mostly using softwares, multi tab browsing and occasional games and multimedia.
We don't plan to upgrade the pc once its bought as long as its working or becomes so obsolete and its unworkable and so only addition would be ram if needed.
Back in 2011, asus M4A78Lt-M LE with AMD Athlon II X3 440 seemed a very good combo but I don't know whats currently good for the 8k budget. I am willing to purchase DDR3 ram if needed.
Please help me out so that I get buy a good combo ^_^
