Crashy Firefox?

When I first used Firefox I was impressed by its speed and the non crashy behaviour compared to IE. But recently after I started using FF 1.5 i feel that I may be wrong. FF seems to crash a hell lot of times when I browse and I find it highly irritating. Is there any severe problem with the 1.5 series of FF?
 
Well It crashes on mY comp and a friend of mine whome I recommended FF and thanked me a lot for telling such a good browser is now sick of it and switched to IE. I cant even properly check a simple email. I am having adblock extension alone installed
 
Opera onced crashed on me... that's right it didn't ;)
Even it does, it has that super awesome crash recovery that restores all open tabs down to exactly where each page had been scrolled to.
 
no crashes on FF 1.5 for me.
but i'm using opera 9 tp 2 now a days and i seem to like it. one of the best browsers arnd with all the features u'll need. :)
 
the only half-decent solution to this is to 1st use the Uninstall option in Firefox, then manually delete ur user profile & tehn do a search for "mozilla" & "firefox"- delete anything that comes up & then install the latest version of FF.

it doesnt cure itself fully, but atleast the crashes r a little postponed!

teh other alternative is to use Mozilla instead of FF- it tends to crash a LOT less than FF & is pretty fast too...Tho, of course; if u can get used to Opera-nothing lik it!

P.S: & try not to install a lotta extensions.. that usually kills FF slowly over time !
