creating dump of psp slim before using pandora

hi,
i just got a magic memory stick and pandora battery.the seller advised me to create a dump of psp.how do i do that.
pls give detailed instruction as i am noob to psp.

if you put in the magic stick/battery, then you get an option on the first screen itself if you want to take a backup before flashing

it will be saved on root of the stick
 
Yup, you can take a backup of the NAND memory of ur PSP slim which u have to flash so that if anything goes bad u can use the backup. You'll get the option to backup NAND when u insert the magic stick and pandora battery and boot ur PSP.

one more query.it took 2 weeks for battery to come so it may hav disharged.
when i put it in psp should i put it with charger.will it affect downgrade.

it wont , put the batt in ur psp and hook it on2 charge for like couple of hrs 2 be safe b4 u start the whole thing , the batt shud be 100% charged
 
@deepak...make sure you've the charging cable plugged into PSP, nothing great will happen...but still prevention is better than cure... :)
