Creative EP-630 review on Techtree - learn plagiarism

Not sure if this is the right section to post but I had to post this somewhere...this is really interesting!

Just got a chance to read the latest review of Creative EP-630 on techtree [dot] com. I had read some reviews on the web myself when I was buying my own piece and guess what ...Deja vu!

Techtree has totally ripped off the article from another site. And guess what this is the first site that shows up in google if you type in the search words "Creative EP-630 review"

Techtree article on EP-630

Techtree.com India > Reviews > Peripherals > Speakers > Creative EP-630

The article they ripped off from:

TrustedReviews - Creative EP-630 Headphones

It's interesting to compare the article line by line.

The "PlayGear Stealth" becomes the "Bose headphones"

The "London Underground" becomes the "Mumbai locals"

lol.....its really funny.

On a side note...they also mention the market price for this pair is Rs. 850. Did the writer of this article talk to you Gaurav by any chance?

but it's ok with me as long as i am getting good articles.

are you kiddin me? they shd be sued for copyright infringement. Read the original article written by the real writer if you have to.
They are blatantly passing off this article as their own, they don't even give any credit to the original writer. The techtree writer uses words like "I" and "my" as if he really tested them with his Sony PSP and iRiver and then he has the nerve to write that the test unit was sourced from Cyberstar Infocom Ltd. Bullshit!! the whole article was clearly written using "CTRL+C" and "CTRL+V" and without a creative EP-630 in hand. If they had one in hand the least they could do is post the real pic of the earphones they have instead of posting pics ripped from the net.

well u r right bro...

i actually tried putting this thing in the comments section in Techtree but it's not showing my comments.

If somebody can put it up there, it'll be good.

Just sent an email to Riyad (TrustedReviews Editor) with the TechTatti link. Let's see how long that review manages to stay up.

@ monty : I think they manually verify the comments, so obviously they will block all comments that contain a reference to TrustedReviews.

I sent a mail to 3 guys at Trusted reviews.

Riyad Emeran Editor in Chief

Benny Har-Even Deputy Editor

Ed Chester Staff Writer

Benny replied.

Thanks Nikhil

We're used to this sort of thing, we should be able to sort it out from this

end. Thanks for letting us know.

Regards

Benny

My mail was this

Subject: Some guys ripped off your EP630 review

Techtree.com India > Reviews > Peripherals > Speakers > Creative EP-630

I know these guys are in a different country from you guys and it might be

impractical to sue these b*******... But I wish you could. You guys have my

support.

Cant you do anything to get that article pulled down ?? Some sort of action

??

I dont know if you are already aware of this issue, but I thought I'd bring

All of you, if you want to report this, mail Benny or the main editor guy....

If all our mails are concentrated on these 2 guys, then the effect will be more instead of one mail to Benny, one mail to the other chap and so on...

now that its been brought to the original author's/site's notice, lets not let this flaming get outta hand :p keep it civil.
