Creative X-Fi Elite Pro RMA woes

Guys,

i bought a Sound Card (Creative X-Fi Elite Pro) before one year.

it costed me above 20k.

Now as it stopped working and warranty remaining i returend the sound card including all accessories and including BOX pack to the place where i bought it for warranty.

after more than one month ( infact that's almost two months) now they say that they don't have the same model (which i mentioned above) for the replacement.

So they are telling me that they can give me 13k instead of replacement.(it costed me above 20k.)

is it the way how it works???? i have no such experience before....so guys help me out what should i do.....shall i ask for a card on same league (which i guess not available right now)...or ask them to return the full amount...

plz zz plz help me out so that i can talk to them later about it.......
 
You will never get back the full amount (i.e 20k) most of the places give a credit note for a lesser amount or a replacement product of equal value.

Is there any particular reason you got the elite pro ? recording or such ?

If its just for audio listening you could get the money offered and get an Asus Xonar Essence for 8k
 
i got the card since it was the card which offered multichannel sorround over s/pdif at that time which can be bought locally.

credit note????

credit note means to how much % can be reduced over price ....like 30% or something..... is there any particular lessing % ......????

also plz suggest me some sound card with same value.......
 
It depends dealer to dealer. Ask him who the distributor is once. You shud be able to argue with hte distri/service center guys to try n increase the amount.
