Credit Card v/s Debit Card

Debit Card.
Keeps you under control. :p

But your debit card is linked to your whole bank balance. If something gets screwed....

In a credit card, there is at least a limit, insurance, liability laws, dispute process, etc.

Debit right now, cause I don't work. But having a credit card is always good, in case of an emergency. My dad has his credit cards carefully locked away, and uses it only for online transactions where they don't accept other forms of payment. And he ALWAYS clears the payments every month, so no ridiculous interest :)

Credit is good Debit is best. If you are using a CC make sure what you spend is within your limits, else you would end up with a looooooooong outstanding bill like me :(

Also make sure you pay the amount on time to avoid the interest rate which is quite high and can go upto 36%

I prefer Credit Cards as you cannot use debit cards for international transactions, also not all websites accept debit cards. But for offline usage both are similar.
