Forum Feedback Credits system?

I am pretty sure no member would accept the credit instead of money for the commodity sold unless the credits can be converted to cash (which I don't think will be possible).
 
Why was this credit system introduced? For what purpose? Is it because of the lack of replies to threads and to get back the people to being active again?

This one can be abused easily. Open all threads in new tabs then close. Unlimited credits :D

I have 2 credits until now. Wonder how I earned that many :D

Edit:
I see "Each Daily Login" earns 5 credits. Now I never log out from my office PC/cellphone/personal laptop. So I don't earn any credit by using a feature of the forum? (selecting the stay logged in thingy when you log in)... Nice :P
 
One valid use I see for the credits is to advertise on the forums. Maybe our own website/blog/business/whatever.

I agree. I can keep earning points if i go on thread reading spree and such. Infact points should be given when deserved. Say someone's post has been liked, so give that user of liked post +1 credit or whatever.
 
Yeah me too, even though I rarely reply to threads I read a lot of them whatever threads which interests me. Some managed to earn 100 credit points in a day, thats 3k points in 30 days. Unless the rewards are made difficult to achieve I feel that it will be a loss for the forum.
 
The points for reading a thread and other unnecessary stuff like conversations was removed yesterday. Forgot to update here.

I doubt the system can be abused without getting caught. The credits are mostly for participating in the forum and fostering participation like highest rewards are for registration, profile update, posting threads, posting replies, posting polls, visiting everyday etc.

daily login credit only given only if I logout and login. not if I have used 'remember me' feature. this should be fixed.

and also for new thread credit is 100 or 10? cos I received 10 for my new thread.
 
Nope threads created in show-off, GT, market and buying help do not count towards credits. Ill add in the FAQ.

Replies created in buying help do count.
