Graphic Cards Crossfire benchies..

They seem to have tested only in Doom III, which was always nVidia friendly due to the OpenGL implementation. As the resolution/AA/AF goes higher, you can see the 6800 Ultra SLI marginally higher than the Crossfire. I am sure the gap will be even wider at 1600x1200.

Wonder how it would look on Half-Life 2 or FarCry, they being DirectX games. I wouldnt expect any great difference, within 10% of each other is my guess.

But you need to look at the performance gain between a single X850 XT PE and a dual one. And at the same time look at the performance increment between a single 6800 ultra and dual. ATI sure have a solid product on their hands

Well, there are two ways to interpret this. A single XT PE is slower than a single Ultra in all cases, at least in the test results shown on the site. Therefore, the performance gains shown by two XT PEs will obviously be more than the gains with two Ultras.

For example, take the last benchie.

One Ultra does 32.7 and two of them do 53.4, a performance gain of about 65%.
One XT PE does 27.6 and two of them do 52.2, a performance gain of about 90%.

So while the gain on the XT PEs are higher, the overall performance is still lesser.

The Futuremark Hall of Fame still lists Shamino's record of 14623 as the current record, so the Crossfire claim of 15498 is either not submitted or is not recognized by Futuremark.

Are those results from the included timedemo1 or a custom demo?
rofl I get the same scores as their single setup results on my faltu 2600+/6600gt setup compared to their fx53/6800ultra's,x850xt's

The sli/crossfire results look accurate, but the single setup results are all screwed up.
Only 30fps at 1280x1024 4xaa with a 6800ultra? I have seen them touching 50fps with those.

edit - Come to think of it, even the sli/crossfire scores seem bs, only 20fps more than mine with cards that are already twice as powerful and running in tandem! (that's 4 times the power)
