Having heard a lot about these, I decided to get this and see for myself how good these are :D

Specifications :

Not Known
Build Quality:

The wires are very thin and need to be taken care of otherwise they might break is what the impression I got. The in ear part of the iem feels heavy inside the ear than the ep-630. The stock tips I got with these are not of the greatest quality. I used my ep-30 tips and they work great and got a good seal but need to be inserted deeper for the best sound. The isolation is good but ep-630 still isolates better.

For Testing:

Ipod Nano ( 2nd Gen )> Mylar3
Ipod Nano ( 2nd Gen )> Line out > Portaphile V2 Headphone Amplifier > Mylar3

I used all kinds of music to test the performance.

I cannot start to say how impressed I am with the Mylar3. The bass is there, balanced and not boomy like the ep-630. Not deep but certainly not as muddy as ep-630.
The detail of music on this is fantastic. Great instrument separation and clean sound. Lower bitrate songs will be exposed of the hiss but on higher bitrate, the sound is great.
The mids are relaxed and not upfront as a result a mixture of lazy and slightly bright highs but still doesn’t colour the music and puts out everything like it is supposed to be.
Straight out of the Ipod, it sounded great. With the headphone amplifier, the bass became deeper and controlled and the sound overall improved. My travelling rig just got a lot better :hap2:

Verdict:

Absolutely worth it. I cannot stop praising how good these are for the price paid. They don’t compare to high end headphones but they stand tall among any earphone/ iem I have heard.
I like these especially as they sound like my Grado SR-60 but more bassy and balanced sound.
If you are looking for a great sounding earphone/IEM for traveling and also for home use but don’t want to pay a lot, this is a great buy.
These have been compared and liked over iems double the price and its justified.

Rating:

8 / 10.

Looses out on build quality but makes up for it for the sound.

Ordering :
This can be ordered from Jaben, Singapore for 57 $ including Shipping. They are great people to deal with and you can order without any hesitation.
I ordered it on Saturday and they were here next Friday. No custom issues as Jaben declared the value very less without me asking for it also.
