Monitors CRT monitor; Brightness restore ??

Hey guy's I've got a old 15" CRT monitor lying around, just plugged it in, but the brighness is all gone ... I mean even at the highest setting it's hardly visible, any chance of restoring the brighness back somehow ?? :huh:

It's a Samsung Digital CRT

Did you try adjusting the Video Input level ?

AFAIK there are 2 options : 0.7V and 1.0V. Setting it to 0.7V is the usual default, and in cases when it is set to 1.0V it appears that the brightness is gone. Could give it a try

The on-screen controls Menu -> Advanced -> Video Input level

Old CRT do have Capcitor Problem .. Take it ur Service guy .. ask him to adjust the Brightness ... hardly 5 mins Job ..... will be back to normal for sure
