Every PC gamer is familiar with Crysis, the PC game that brought about a revolution in graphics. After Crysis, PC gaming graphics was never the same again. For more than 4 years after the 2007 title release, PC games and hardware alike continued to struggled to play this beautiful game at it's maximum settings, and mods weren't done squeezing the maximum out of Crytek's amazing CryEngine 2. Then came along Crysis 2, based on the CryEngine 3. And that's when we PC gamers were slammed on our faces with the message, "we live in a console dominated world". Crysis 2 didn't ship with DX11 or high resolution textures, which were released with an update several months later, several months too late. Crytek plans to do different with Crysis 3. Let's see where it leads to.

Crysis 3

Crysis 3 is the continuation in the epic saga of humanity's last stand against world wide alien invasion. Continuing the fight in New York, players return to a more heavily infested New York, complete with more natural vegetation, more destruction, new weapons (such as the crossbow, spicy!) and open worlds ready for action and carnage.

The 2 GB sized high resolution textures will ship with the game. PC gamers will not have to wait for months to see the game in it's full glory. That is only apt, as you already paid for the game when you bought it, not to enjoy it properly several months later.

Crysis 3 will run on the latest version of Crytek's award winning CryEngine 3, complete with DX11 and it's goodies. Here's hoping we see optimization levels as good as Crysis 2 (which was a superbly optimized game, at least consoles brought in something good).

We all can't wait to return to this post-apocalyptic urban cum tropical setting and shoot the brains out of the silver aliens, and end their domination race once in for all. Crysis 3 release early 2013.
