Crysis not working with Winxp 64 bit

Guys just installed Crysis on WinXp 64 bit, and tried running but it simply crashes immediately, with the normal crash dialogue box
'Crysis has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience'
Anyone in here tried crysis on winxp 64??..what could be the issue?

I finished Crysis on Xp64 only. I had the original version and except for the NO CD crack .. I didn't have to install anything.
