Probably not..at 800*600 yes...with a few bells and whistles turned off..

Ofcourse only way to be sure is when the game gets released..

People with C2D @ 3200 MHz with a 2 GB of RAM and a X1900XT are wondering weather they will be able to play the game or not... The answer will be found when the game gets released and i hope that the engine is optimized for high end current generation cards...

Guys, remember how extremely well written is the crytek engine, true piece of work.

I think even after such high graphic details, people with 7600GT should be able to play it at low settings atleast. As I suspect.

It should be as well scalable as say the the UT2k4, otherwise the game wont sell...

Well everything turned off and at the lowest resoultion, game develpers do try to make it so that the game runs on current low end graphics, which would mean 8500GT, 7600GS etc

The 7600GT is quite a powerful card, maybe a high up on eye candy will be playable...lets see...

^^I would think 1024x768 med details and no AA at 50fps with 7600GT

Playing Lost Planet : Extreme Condition on a 8600GT gettable arnd 35 fps on med settings @ 1440X900

I don't think so aces... Keep in mind who is behind the project... Same people who developed and delivered Far Cry... The game which made every high end generation card of its time crawl... Thats what i believe will happen this time cause Far cry has made enough goodwill for the game developers and don't forget the hype which crysis has generated...

Also the last engine which scaled really well was the Source engine.. And the reason for that was that multi player angle which the source engine had to encounter... While crysis will have a multi player setup also but its USP is the physics engine with awesome gfx which only a high end card will be able to handle... But then again thats the way i think... And i can definitely be wrong :)

Dudes .. How much FPS you can expect with intense games like Crysis... If a non DX 10 game. like Oblivion which has all the weapons like Shader Model , Soft shadows ,H & Tl ...and much more having power to bring G80 on knees..with all bell and whistle turned on ;).a gamer is unable to get 100 FPS on highest end .. Then how come a revolutionary game will run fine on low end ?:ashamed:

What the makers didnt anticipate is the online playability of farcry and they were surprised allrite, hence I reckon they would make the game more scalable as compared to Far-cry

Quoting from the Crysis forums ...
It was recently stated in a GamesRadar preview that Cevat Yerli, Crytek CEO, said that Crysis will be able to run on Ultra High settings with the following specs.

Ultra High Requirements
CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo
Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

I hope, being a Nvidia TWIMTBP game, I'll be able to play it at decent settings on the 8800GTS :)

Though Farcry brought every high end card to its knees, it was still pretty scalable, maybe not as well as the source engine, but still scalable. Crysis will also be a bit scalable, bit still I think the scalabilty will be restricted to mid end cards in the DX10 series and upper mid to high end cards in the DX9 series.

However Crysis is a game which concentrates most on the visual splendor and physis than anying else. So playing this game on a mid-low end card at 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 will not do justice to the game.

Even a 64MB Radeon 8500 could run Farcry smoothly at 1024x768 medium details and it was already almost 3 years old by then.

Yes, thats right. I have myself played Farcry on a Radeon 8500 64 MB AGP card at some very decent settings. Thats why I say its pretty scalable. I have also played it on a 6800GT 256MB and a 1900XT 512MB and It never seemed any of these cards were a overkill for that game.

I also played FarCry on ATI X300 PCIEx card at 1024 with mixed setup.

Initially when it was released it was sputtering on a 9600, but then XT sir managed to complete the game on a onboard 6150 so I guess the engine was scalable, but didnt scale as well as a source, or the UT2k4...
