CS: source error

Hi guys.. need some help, finally got my CS copy after playing everywhere else.. and now i get an error when I try and launch the game..

I using Counter-strike source pack which comes with day of defeat:source and half-life2: deathmatch, only iinstalled the CS: source for now..

i've attached a screenshot of the error i'm getting, i running nothing else in the background, everything else is put off.. and still the issue, i've uninstalled and re-installed, same issue...

any suggestions?

Try re-downloading ClientRegistry.blob

Backup your steam files are re-install.

Re-install OS. That seems to solve every issue.

Or

Try "verifying integrity of game cache" right click on game->properties->local files.

the OS was recently installed..

did the veryfying.. didnt help, also just completely uninstalled the game, re-installed and updated.. still getting the same error..

Try playing it using one of the compatibility options, or else its just your copy of the game.

^+1 for compatibility...I have vista 64bit and source didnt work untill i used compatibility with xp sp2
