CSS Doubt

Since I'm Installing halo,the only prob is tht it works only on directx 9.0b and my css works on directx 9.0c so I was wondering if I could backup my css files and then install css in XP,then use the backup files which I had installed in Windows 2000 cause I'm really tired of waiting to update it again,would it work?
 
Just backup the .gcf files in the SteamApps folder.

When your gonna re-install, install the game, let it start updating. Quit Steam.

Paste the GCF files in the SteamApps folder, and start steam, youre good to go :ohyeah:

i do not see any pic in this post, so some problem with the game, did u install the game?? :P

Allright I edited my post and uploaded the image on another site but if u still can't see the image,I'll try another site.
 
i had the same prob.
it happens when u minimize the game window and then maximize it again..i.e..when u switch windows.

Other symptoms include dissapearance of the crosshair (happened to me once and got killed :bleh:), messages, HUD, etc etc
 
The only prob is I didn't minimise and maximise the game windows,it won't come at first when I create my own server and then when I disconnect and create again or join some other server,this happens.

How the hell do I solve this,it's been driving me nuts,I've been distracted by this and almost got knifed while looking at it.
 
Its a Source bug.

If you play the game, then minimize in the middle, then come back to CS Source, that happens to all the "Reflecting" surfaces.

Any glass, tile kinda surfaces, that will happen.
 
I s there any way of permanently solving this prob or shd I wait for more crap updates from valve to screw my css more,already I get the most ridiculous fps and now this...and also to make things worse,most of the damn floors in every map is shiny and even the snow,it looks like as if somebody used 2 tons of polish on them.
 
Lol. Theres no way to fix it sadly.

Have to wait for Valves "crappy" updates..

Whats next? Lesser Ammo in m4a1? :@

hey monkey I get that on my new card too can get rid of them by retrying.
