As a newcomer to this forum, hello everyone.
Over the past couple of weeks I've been trying to resolve a problem (not serious) regarding the Ctrl-Alt-Del function in a Win2k system. I have posted this question to another newsgroup and so far, no-one has come up with a solution. It's your turn.
When I boot up the Win2k system I see the familiar "Please Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to Logon" window. I'd like to turn this window off. Here's the rub. The usual area to accomplish this turn-off is in the 'Users/Password" area. However, that sentence in "Users/Password" is grayed out.
I have already modified the registry by adding a DWord and that didn't work.
If anyone's curious I can respond with the details of the modification.
The system itself is part of a workgroup (not a domain). One idea I had was to boot up in safe mode. I haven't tried that yet but will do so this afternoon after work. Aside from that ---
Anyone got any other ideas?
