10 lakh to take out BJP march on Apr 21
Besides holding a 'March to Parliament' against the scourge of price rise on April 21 in which 10 lakh people were expected to participate from all over the country, the BJP will also bring a Cut Motion in Parliament and later submit a memorandum to the President on the issue, the party announced today.
To participate in the march, lakhs of party workers and the general public will arrive in the capital through more than 30 special trains from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
Six thousand buses will bring workers and people from nearby states, while 4000 four wheelers will bring people from border areas of the national capital, Mr Kumar informed.

'Third Front' to bring cut motion on finance Bill
At least 13 parties of the latest “Third Front†have planned to move this cut motion. The cut motion against the petro-price hike is going to have little impact on the health of the government and the government is expected to safely pass its finance Bill as these parties have just 88 MPs in the Lok Sabha. The ‘Third Front’ partners are in no mood to topple the second Manmohan Singh government so soon. Contented with their efforts to showcase their protest, these parties will not approach the BJP or any other National Democratic Alliance parties for support. “We have decided what we are going to do. We don’t know what the BJP or other NDA parties will do,†CPI leader A B Bardhan told reporters after the meeting.

Oppn plans cut motion against fuel price hike on April 27
Although petroleum and natural gas ministry is not being discussed in the House, the opposition wants to bring a cut motion on it. If the Speaker Meira Kumar admits it in the House, this will be the first time that a cut motion is taken up on a ministry which is guillotined.
And this is where the problem lies. Both the speakers, hamid ansari and meira kumar are congress workers at heart. Whenever UPA is cornered, both of them adjourn the house for hours. They come back only to adjourn the house again within 5 min.

The numbers are not enough though. India is headed for a single party system where regional parties come and go giving rise to the notion of a perfect democracy but the coalition never changes. This is how megalomaniacs are born and how emergency's are declared.

The numbers
Even as a cut motion is moved inside the House on April 27, outside Parliament the 13 non-National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and non-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) parties will be on the street protesting against the government’s policies. BJP is organising its protest action on April 21.

The 88 members of the 13 parties and BJP’s 116 add up to 204. Besides these, the Janata Dal (United) with 20 MPs and the Shiv Sena with 11 are also part of NDA. The 21-strong BSP’s stand is yet to be spelt out.

The UPA has the assured support of 262 members, but will have to do some tight-rope walking to ensure that it passes the test in the 543-member House. The 13-party combination decided to bring around half-a-dozen cut motions and amendments to the finance bill.

The cut motions could also corner UPA constituents like the Trinamool Congress and DMK, which had initially expressed reservations on the increase in prices of petroleum products.

Congress may indulge in 'horse-trading' to save government: Yechury
"Such (horse-trading) a possibility cannot be ruled out... If survival is put to question mark then it (Congress) may indulge. We cannot predict what the political consequences will be, but Congress-led UPA coalition should be prepared to face the cut motion," CPI (M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury told reporters here.
