I had one like this today that was stuck on the boot screen, forever loading. I thought the SSD or HDD was dead. I figured the SSD was the problem, so I thought, "Why not switch the cable of the HDD?" Guess what? It worked! Then I also plugged the HDD in with the SSD's SATA cable, and the issue came back. I was like, "Who's the real spiderman here?" Finally, I unplugged the SATA cable and noticed it was damaged; the protective layer had chipped off. In the end, I changed the cable, and now both the SSD and HDD are working fine.
