Data Recovery from the Hard Disk

Hi,

I need a solution to recover some of the data from my laptop hard disk.My HD capacity is 40 GB. When I was running a mobile software utility accidentally it has deleted around 7 GB of data, which may be missing/not accessible in the HD.

I did run some diagonostic tool which shows that the data is there , but showing it as Deleted folder/Deleted files.

I did try using Recover DOS command but it throws me an error saying that "Cannot Lock the drive.Volume is still in use".

Please help me out in recovering my data from the HD.

I've been using this one for some time now..... CONVAR & PCinspector Data Recovery . Just make sure you recover the Data to a different partition than the one on which it was originally stored.

Also try not to write any new data to the partition from which the data was lost untill you recover the files.

Welcome 2 TE;

First thing you should do is; do not write any data on that partition as it may overwrite the deleted data.

Use a good data recovery to recover the data.
