my 1tb seagate hdd does not work(my screen doesnt go beyond the motherboard screen).
however i have another spare 160gb sata hdd which works fine when connected to the same socket.
i called up seagate customer care and they said they would give me new hdd in 5-6 days but the data would get deleted.
however about 700gb of data is 2 much to download again.
can any1 suggest how to get the data back or any1 in pune who can do it.
max budget is 1k for the recovery of 700gb data.

I am from Pune.

Make your 1tb hdd secondary and boot and tell if your 1tb hdd is detected(drives not shown) from your windows.

If its detected they try Runtime GetDataBack for NTFS/Fat32 software to recover your data. Or try EasyRecovery Professional software.

Data recovery software from rtt studio would also be helpful, if drive is at least getting detected in windows (disk management).

got it replaced from seagate.

lost 700-800gb of movies+games.

however,i can download it again.

atleast it wont happen again cos i got 7200.12 in return of 7200.11

btw matrix,tried what u said.

however,it wouldnt detect it as secondary also.

it was a problem with seagate 7200.11
