DataSlide has recently introduced the new storage concept of Hard Rectangular Drive which is based on hard disk drives with a twist: it doesn’t require the platter to spin.
The HRD uses a 2D array of read/write heads on the rectangular platter, using oscillations to move the magnetized bits to and fro underneath the read-write heads. This new technology allows the drive to deliver read/write speed of up to 500MB/s, with less than 4W of power and 160000 IOPS.
DataSlide is now evaluating the technology, and looking for manufacturers for cooperation.

It is GOING to be IMPLEMENTED soon ................:hap2:
