Monitors DCI P3 or sRGB?

In my monitor there is multiple colour modes, but the difference between DCI-p3 colour mode and other colour mode including general/sRGB is very noticable. DCI p3 looks less punchy and coloirs look a little different. My monitor is Acer VG271u M3.

Do you have any suggestion for me if you this or similar monitor?

Which mode is better for gaming and overall use?

Are you saying it automatically switches to sRGB mode when playing HDR content? That should not happen.
yes when i switch to HDR from windows display settings display goes dark and turn back on with HDR mode enabled which disables dcip3 mode, theres a separate profile for colour mode for HDR,

i think HDR not worth it on this monitor, not much different than non HDR mode with 100% brightness. Need OLED for HDR i think

OLED would definitely be better, but comes with its own limitations like cost, lower brightness, burn-in risks, etc.

On Windows, under color management, there is an option to associate icm profiles with hdr / sdr modes and should switch accordingly. How are you checking the current active mode? Switching to HDR should ideally enable DCI-P3 and not disable it since it is a WCG profile. This is on the OS side.

On the monitor, there should be a setting to limit the color space to sRGB (a preset) because HDR monitors have WCG enabled by default. At least this is how it is for my Samsung.

Monitor changes it profile when i turn on or off hdr from windows. Then i check the colour mode from monitor button and i see hdr colour profile. I have tweaked any windows settings or nvidia control panel settings. All on default
