Having problems with DDR 2 800 MHz memory

I tried my new sticks on the D975XBX mobo at office, doesn't start successfully, randomly BIOS crashes (have reset several times), memory has been run at stock timings (manually), and auto timings.

Ditto is the prob with the kingston DDR2 800 chips... They won't freakin start even
Not working with dual channel and even single channel. Only one of my OCZ's works and I can install windows. As soon as I swap out this stick and put in the other, or put in both it doesn't start, and the monitor power light will blink..

rig specs -
X6800 core extreme, XBX mobo, x1900xtx, x1800xt, neo power 480W

M5N SLI 32 asus, FX 62, x1900xtx, 7600GS, neo power 480W

Both these rigs are giving this problem, so its not the board

Sometimes the BIOS will even freeze. Now I did get windows xp to boot from the CD, installed, twice got BSOD's, and third time it worked (all on the one OCZ)

Ran 3dmark 06 with 512 mb memory @ 5-5-5-15 ddr2 800... :@
Anyways all the other three memory sticks ain't working... I'm mystified..

even the DDR2 667 1 GB stick I have will not work...

The OCZ's are mine (512x2), outta which one works
The kingston's are office's maal (both ain't working)

any ideas..

edit - btw this board (in fact the M5N too) worked just dandy with 2x1 GB corsair's DDR2 800, that too at 4-4-4-12, I only tweaked voltages slightly

Update 1 - the kingston's booted up seamlessly on the DQ965 gigabyte, dual channel, the works...
Trying my OCZ tomorrow, haven't brought em to office. This is the best thing that could've happened today.... Incidentally, crossed 6K in 3D mark 06 courtesy X1900XT. But the 7900GTX was faster, I remember posting a benchy result here on TE, it was around 6.9K something... sorry but I cannot recall, as am a n00b :P and don't really tinker around a lot.
Will update this thread with the OCZ's status tomorrow.

Fingers crossed guys... pls do hope positive for me, as I am a financially challenged chap right now :ohyeah:

Another update.. windows xp installed successfully on kingston DDR2800, no issues...gigabyte DQ965.
Trying all possible combos tomorrow.

Guys update...the OCZ's are up and running, brought em to office today, absolutely no issues...will do a memtest, and a sciencemark for stability and bandwidth checking, I'll post some scores here later on..

I'm really happy!!! I thought my chips had gone kaput, like our now extinct tick-tok boi..:P

Ehhh wtf are you talking about ?

read my other post dude.... The OCZ's I bought weren't booting on the M5N SLI32 and the 975XBX mobos.... I thought I was fukked....

Tried em this morning on the gigabyte DQ965 and they are working fine... Funny thing is CPU-Z ain't showing any details on the timing window... I'm using 1.33.1 It shows the memory as 1 GB and OCZ, mobo is also detected fine, only the performance window is blank... don't have the time to post screenies just now, but any ideas?
could the BIOS have some extra options. They're running at auto settings btw...absolutely no tweaking...

anish - here's the linky to the other thread - http://www.techenclave.com/forums/ddr2-problem-78146.html

^^ Ohh, ok.

Sounds more like a mobo compatibility issue, these new BIOS'es are always hell (Anybody remember the Initial 939 A8V Rev 1's ;)).

Fukkk this was soooo fukkin annoying.. I could've killed someone... I cannot explain how annoying it is when a test bench needs to be benchmarked, and you don't have the memory to start it up...
Now they're working perfectly on the 965 gigabyte... I'm gonna try on the asus mobo later today...
