I have some dead pixels on my G2220HD, I noticed it only yesterday. Two of them are at the top left and some at the lower left. It hasn't been even 8 months since I bought it. Can I get an RMA? bought it from Ankit infotech SP. road

How do I justify that its eligible for RMA to them?

You will have to go to benq website and check their warranty policy. For eg, view sonic says 5 dead pixels makes the LCD eligible for RMA. Dell premium warranty is for 1 dead pixel.

Call up Neoteric and enquire. The website does not say much about the replacement policy based on dead pixels.

^^ I had picked up a Benq for my sister last year and it had 2 dead pixels, I went straight back to the dealer and gave it back to him. I don't know what he did with it, but after a bit of arguing that a new monitor has 2 dead pixels he did take it back and gave me back my entire amount. He first started with that its my fault in transportation etc, which was all crap. Anyway a new monitor should not have a dead pixel at all....

^ i had picked a G2220 also for friend which had 2 dead pixels , replaced it with new one next day from dealer ..

i think benq has 5 dead pixel policy , 1 at center or 5 total anywhere on screen .

I guess I'll get a replacement, I just spotted another one that makes it 5.

Where do I go to get it replaced?

EDIT: If ankit gets to replace it then I can get a bigger monitor.

can someone confirm, what I'm seeing is a dead/stuck pixel. there are lots of these if I look closely

^^Mine were Bright Green and Bright Blue on a black background so they were easy to spot.....

How can you accept a monitor with Dead pixels from day one? Imagine it after 3 years of work...what it might end up with...Speaks a lot about Benq Quality

I have a 3-4 year old Viewsonic and not one dead pixel so far....

[Offtopic]Touch wood man. Anything can happen ... at any possible second.

Does anyone know how many deal pixels AOC counts before giving a replacement?

+1 Same here. It's running perfectly fine. :)

Though it's not good to justify a product with only one's comment...but the thread says many people have faced this problem.
