I bought Auzentech Xplosion 7.1 card from Udit's place yesterday. This was listed in TE. The thread is http://www.techenclave.com/market/fs-auzentech-x-plosion-7-1-a-130793.html. This card has no warranty and as per Udit he changed the Opams and it was working fine. The payment was made by me through ebay as I did not have cash.

When I installed card, drivers, rebooted PC, windows sound came up. Udit came online and then I told him that the card is working but then I did not play any music. I also noticed a bomb blast kind of noise when computer started up. It happened every time the system booted. I noticed crackled noise during music playback and then I told Udit I am neither happy nor sad with the card. I have tried many things to fix the problem but have not been able to. I requested Udit to take the card back and in return give me money or any product of equal value. He started abusing me and said he will neither refund money nor take the card back. Please find the MSN conversation attached below.

Its been about 16 hours and I reported the problem to Udit. He told me yesterday that he will take the card back if it does not work when I went to his place to pick the card up. As u can see that he is not willing to either take the card or refund my money. Please TE Mods help me. He is a different person altogether as to what it seems to us. I am never ever going to deal with him again. Please help me get my money back. PLEASE............lease:

He is not willing to refund or give me anything else in return of equal value. He had first mentioned in this thread that the card is under warranty and suddenly he changed and mentioned that the card is out of warranty. Please Mods reopen the thread and help me either get my money back or a product of equal value. Please help. :help:

I tested the card on 12th April, 2009 in front of TE members "deathvirus_me" & "madmaniac" & it is working on Vista 64bit

have refunded him the money today & he will get the money tomorrow

but since he started the thread as "don't deal with udit" nobody is even viewing my sale now

In that case he should directly PMed to Mods and buyer, why created a thread. What's mod can do, didn't he read the market rules thread

didnt read the full conversation but I have the same card, and in Vista the drivers are crappy and do not give full features. Try Windows XP once and see if it works better. Also which headphones are you using??? Using mediocre setup might not see any benefit between onboard and the xplosion.....

arey, I am not against him or udit, nor this thread being created. I wanted to oppose @Hacker comment to what he said to rajkumar, as per him this matter should be in between buyer,seller and mods. I agree with @SC, we should know about such cases.

But seems my comment went other way.

The card is not working as described by him. The Vista drivers are a complete piece of crap. I installed Vista on a new partition and tried but the card has the same problem of the bomb blast noise during bootup and crackling music playback. I dont need technical help. I want my money back or replacement. This card was not designed to work for Vista. Its compatibility was XP as per the manual and box. If I cant get any help then thats the end of my dealing in TE. This one is not only a sour deal but rather a very dissapointing deal. I didnt expect Udit to behave in such a manner after he got the money. If you check the thread, you will find that he first mentioned it was under warranty and then he changed it was out of warranty. He also changed Opams in the card. I took the card as he told me that it wil work on Vista. When I went to his place yesterday he said that he will take the card back if the card does not work. Today he is asking for proof that he said that.

He told me that he used this card in Vista 64 bit for the past 1.8 yrs. How the hell can he do that as the Vista drivers were released few months back. The card was not getting sold in TE ( please check his thread). I bought it trusting his words but I think I was a fool I trusted him. He has shown his true face now and I request the mods to do something about it.

Seeing that I posted a thread in TE feedback he replied in MSN......

Girish.....on a general note.....products sold without warranty are sold on an 'as-is-where-is' basis. This is done because, if the buyer screws up the product from his end, there is no way the seller can get it fixed and would result in a loss to the seller.

I dont know the merits of this case but the above policy is adopted for any second hand good.

What was his terms when you bought it 'in warranty' or 'out of warranty' ?

IMO, Udit and Girish should meet up and co-operate to make the piece of hardware WORK!

No1 shud use any noobiness/abusive language and should help each other like frnds on te do.. thts wt TE is abt, its NOT abt making profit in selling goods to sm1 who needs it n bla bla.

Udit, Stop abusing ppl. u know U CAN HELP, so u shud.. Try calibrating the Sound Card on anthr PC on ur desired OS.

Girish, dont make up ur mind abt returning the card n flaming the seller, as such problems in computer hardware are veryyyyyyyy common n smtimes they are caused by a veryyyy tiny bug.

PS: this happened with my frnd's XONAR DX once n then got fixed after OS re-install.

So, Frnds, Please Co-operate n let ur ideas be contructive.

@ girish : did you swap the card in another slot (PCI) ? It could be an IRQ conflict issue. Same happened to me, i just had to reset BIOS and reinstall Windows and that took care of my issue.

If drivers are an issue, try installing them in compatibility mode.

Girish....I am sorry to say but you are weakening your case.

You shouldnt use the argument in your favor saying that he has changed his status from 'in-warranty' to 'out-of-warranty' because it has no relevance to you. He clearly stated that it was out-of-warranty when he sold it you.

Anyway, am outta here.........UDIT why dont you check if the card is working fine in your system first, if it is .........then you can make a decision as to refund or not refund.

UDIT why dont you check if the card is working fine in your system first, if it is .........then you can make a decision as to refund or not refund.

as it is a headache for me

i prefer fighting over testing in my pc

I have tried everything. Here is what I have tried :-

1. Clean Install of Windows and installed drivers
2. Changed PCI slot
3. Tried installing driver from the CD that came in compatibility mode

None have worked. I spoke with him at 10:40 pm and before I could explain the problem the power at my place went off. It came back at around 1 pm and I started doing all kinds of things to get this card working. When I said its working I meant the windows sounds came up. But I could not understand why the Bomb Blast noise during bootup and the music playback is crackling. Thats why I told him I am neither happy nor sad. My onboard was much better than that. Thats why I said all that. I thought the crackling issue is bcoz of some setting but the settings are very limited in Vista. I compared the manual and most of the settings are not there.

I PMed Udit last ngiht at 3 am and informed him that card isnt working. He was offline after 1 am so how could I have informed him. I have done everything from my end to make this card work but it isnt. He is not willing to co-operate and wants me to find another system. I dont have another system. When I asked him to test the card on his system before giving me he did not want to do that. He should have tested the card in front of me which he did not.

I have not spent my money just to look at the card. The card should work as described by Udit but it is not working. He changed Opams at his own risk, Maybe that has screwed the card. This card does not have warranty and I dont wanna carry on the headache of using this card. If he can make it work fine in Vista I am ok otherwise, Please help me get a refund.

As he had mentioned above, he does not care about TE and members. Why is he respoding then? Today he called be a Crook. I did not even use any abusive language to him. I understand the medical condition he is in and have tried to behave as much nice as I can. But things have gone beyond limits.
