Its working in Vista..:no: Then why the OP told that its not even working.. Anyhow i dont think ur reputation will spoiled with just one incident. Just stay calm...
 
^^^because the OP didnt want to t/s the card. It was working in Vista according to the OP, just that it was making some popping sound and stuff like that, which needed to be troubleshooted, but IMO the OP actually felt that the card is not enhancing his listening experience and is not worth the upgrade hence I guess didnt pay heed to the t/s steps mentioned on this very thread....
 
Well most people dont like to go through the hassle to find a proper setting for their own setup. They want to pay money for something which they'll just plug and play without any hassle, which doesn't work always. A proper sound card does take proper tuning with respect to every individual setup.

Things mentioned earlier like big thump during bootup, crackling or hissing during playback were no where to be found. Hell even the XFi drivers were not installed, which cud have caused issues of its own. . lol ..

Use proper drivers, and take some time in understanding how the card works. Or else some other guy might end up here with a similar thread ...
 
Can't we just close this now..? No analysis or post-mortem of any kind. Both parties have arrived at a compromise. So all of us can just forget this and get on with life..!
 
I think this thread should be locked and plz dont keep opening it again and again.

There was an issue. It was resolved and there's no need to elaborate further.

Poor low blow tactics on the OP's part to claim a refund if that's true.

Dont be stupid. Udit had to clarify the card was working. So it had to be opened one last time.
