Market Feedback Deal with "Horoscope" gone Bad

As per the instructions of mod, I'm starting this thread :

My problem is something like this:

I bought an iphone 3gs from member called Horoscope from the thread:

I received it on friday & very next day I tell him that I want to return the phone on the grounds of fake info he gave me.. which I wrote on the thread also :

Phone receive...

And I'm not satisfied with the deal..

1. The phone is definitely not 20-25 days old...as per serial no. it's 6 months old ( and physical appearance also says the same.. )
2. The phone was not bought from UK.. it's from Singapore ...
3. MOST IMPORTANT: We had a clear talk if i don't like the phone he'll refund the money to me... But he has stopped taking or replying to my calls since the day he couriered it to me & gave me wrong info about courier also......

The guy had a clear intention of hiding the facts... other people BEWARE of this buyer.... He says he will give me a proof of purchase by wednesday, that the phone is not 6 months old but infact 20-25 days old.. which he never did...

Now all of a sudden a person comes khanvis2009, he wants the phone....

Now khanvis2009 (Vishal) wants me to send the phone to him before getting the payment & he is willing to trust Harish( Horoscope) & not me...

I think both these people are together & they just want to take the phone as well as keep the money too....

I've asked Harish to transfer my money back to me... now he has started making excuses that he needs to check phone n everything.. when we had a clear deal that he'll refund money if i don't like it...

I request you people to kindly pressurize him to refund my money ... n I'll send him the phone back ...
I can show the phone to any person in chennai to show it's working or not...

But I seriously think these guys are trying to CON me... KINDLY HELP!!!

Update:

The guy khanvis2009 has backed off from the deal. I request Harish to kindly refund my money now...
 
I rather prefer dealing via ebay.in and paying a 5% extra on the negotiated amount then being in this mess.

Never the less, I would request Mr. Horoscope to keep his words and take back the phone and keep the good gesture and goodwill intact. Guess what, Horoscope dude, i will give you another iTrust score for nothing but being a Human Being and keeping your words. And if you have planned to cheat on this fellow then there are a 1000 ways we can trace you.

Luckily you are in NOIDA which have a lot of senior TE members living around

Maybe you could handover the phone to one of the senior members who will check & return it back to Horoscope. & he refunds you the money.

As so much Bad blood has flown, I doubt if the issue can be resolved amicably without the intervention of a mediator
 
^ Excellent Suggestion.
Meet up with Some Senior/known/Trusted member in Chennai. Show him the phone and he can then compare it with the Photos in the For Sale thread opened up by Horoscope. He can then put his approval on the condition of the phone and you can get the phone back.
 
hey @iq6886 ur tallking bullshit ... dont accuse someone before knowing any facts .. i have never met horoscope anytime in my life and i dont even knw what he looks like .. so dont u dare accuse me of trying to con u ...

u bloody are confused urself .. u dont know what the hell u want to do with that phone .... i am not intersted in buying that phone cause after taliking to u i think ur one confused guy ...

i am in mumbai , ur in chennai and horoscope in in bangalore ... how the hell am i supposed to know him ... !!! u bought the phone , used it for a week an now u dont like it ....i have serious doubts on what the phone condition is like now + u tried to sell the phone off on another tech forum ..y didnt u sell it back on te itself and .y didnt u complain to the mods ..

unnecessarily ur dragging me into all this ... i told u to send the phone back to horoscope but dont even want to do that so i gave u an option of sending the phone to me ...even there u said u have ur exams and lectures and wont be able to courier it .

now if ur in a hurry to sell this phone why the hell cant u courier it fast ...+ ur crying over 1000 rs with me ..

and i havent come all of a sudden to buy ur phone !!! i had agreed to buy that phone from horoscope even b4 u for 23k but he sold it to u for 24k so i offered to bail u out buy buying it at my price of 23k but ur now accusing me of cheating wtf!!! i dont even have ur money in the first place !

sort it out with horoscope urself with the help of a few mods ( i advised u that earlier as well but u would not listen and uve opened this thread accusing me now .. what the hell!!!.. i havent even met u two ever !!)

throw the phone in the dustbin if want to, i dont even want it for free .. and stop bloody accusing me as trying to con u without knowing any facts ...

u had a deal with horoscope that he would take back the phone , if he doesnt what the hell can i do about it sitting here in Mumbai ..and why the hell should i leave my work and beg to him to take the phone back like u asked me too ... i dont even know him dude .. thats ur issue sort it out and stop dragging me into this ..

i am so pissed after reading this thread i seriously want to come down to chennai and kick ur a** even though i dont know who u r !

If Horoscope is in Bangalore, then maybe @iq6886 can send the phone to Supra & he can hand over the phone to horoscope & take the payment & remit it to @iq6886

Of course both parties & above all Supra should agree to be the mediator

(Supra's name just from the top of my head)

i have advised him to complain to mods earlier as well but he didnt want to do that .. if any mod in chennai is willing to check the phone , i am still willing to bail iq6886 out as a goodwill gesture .. i will credit the money to the mods ac .. or he can ship it to a mod in Mumbai and ill pay him

So now iq6886 if you wrnt happy with the Phone why were you trying to sell it in the Other Forum whose name is filtErEd here?
You should have just negotiated with Horoscope on that and told him to take the Phone back. Even Khanvis2009 told you the same thing on the Original Sale thread
Please clarify this so that we can get a better picture of the entire deal.

why did i require this thread... u could have posted in the same sale thread itself....

Phone is in perfectly working and pristine condition.. it is just that u want to pass time here... i gave u so many option and yet u dont agree to even one of them...
 
i trust horoscope fully. bought an spica from him and due to some problems asked him if i can return the phone to him for which he readily agreed.

Tried that... He didn't want to take it back.. .He avoided taking my calls & replying to my messages...
So I tried to sell it on my own...

@Khanvis: Dude... I wrote what I could infer.. if I offended you.. I'm sorry.... didn't mean to .. but your very statement " I trust Horoscope & not me " made me think that way.. cz both you & him are very new here...

@Horoscope : Kindly write those options here in public...

@others: I'm from Noida, but currently I'm in Chennai for higher studies..
 
^^ I have no opinion about khanvis2009 as I have never had any deal with him.

I have no opinion about iq6886 as I have never had any deal with him either. ;)

Now, coming to Horoscope, his very 1st deal on TE was with me. He was selling Pendrives & I offered to purchase 3 of them.

Since he was new & had no iTrust ratings, he voluntarily offered to send the drives 1st & then accept the payments.

He sent the drives & unfortunately, the pen drive boxes got mixed up. It was a slight mistake & not an intentional one.

I asked him for a clarification & he told me that he had not realised that the boxes were important to me. That was correct.

He also told me that if I wan unhappy, I should return the drives to him, no issues.

I kept the pendrives & made the payments to him.

So, he sent the goods without taking payment 1st & then voluntarily even offered to take them back (No questions asked) even though he was genuinely not at fault......

Obviously he got a +ve iTrust rating from me.
 
I can vouch for iq6886..

great guy and can blindly trust him...

sort out this thing mutually instead of blaming each other.. I know deals can go bad..
