Amarbir, all you need is "process alignment" get hold of some management software which will help you do so......i wish i could help but my methods would leech almost a 6 figured sum from your turnover. needless to say its corporate based.....
lets turn the table around for a while.....
Amarbir Sir ( with all due respect ) , say u buy all your stuff from distributor "x". Tomorrow a new distributor "y" comes up from no where having same dealership as "x" has. Now, you check him out with some trial orders...and you figure out , "y" has the following points -
- excellent stock
- readily available
- the main person is polite and excellent to deal with
- all products offered by "y" are 'way' cheaper than "x"
so now you can get the same product from "y" that u used to get from "x" and STILL sell it at the market price.
Won't you buy it ??????????
Lets make the matter more worst here. For some reason "y" looses out on his firm and now is no longer the distributor here........he has no job and nothing to do......but during his tenure he has make solid contacts......you call him up one day and say , boss , i need this - this and this , he says - i don't exist anymore BUT i have my contacts and i will continue with the service and give you all the stuff you want at the same price........
Won't you buy it ??????????
These are core facts......
When i go to my comp dealer , he calls ATLEAST , 3-4 places for the stuff (i.e if he doesnt have it in stock ) ......he checks the rate at all 4 places and THEN only he picks the place from where he is getting from the cheaper lot.......Am I as a customer getting benefited ??? - NO! , what I am getting is the current market price only.
Its business everyone understands it. Even he has to make money for him or for whomever you would like to say , his brother , family - whatever.
Tomorrow if i go to him and if he is offering me something 1000 buks less than what the market price is and what even the dealers on TE have to offer , i have complete right to mention it on TE for the benefit of everyone here.....it doesnt mean that i sit around and PM all the dealers saying "boss i have got this rate , now u better drop your rate , or i will create a thread and hamper you business".
Basic fact everyone needs to know is TE is not a BAZAAR , and as someone said this is NOT ebay.....with all due to respect to the new members, I have noticed ample new members completing the bare minimum posts and then hitting the markets right away to sell away their stuff.
Again as rightly mentioned in this thread.......its about logistics , process alignment and quantity with quality.
Last but not the least.....do not take this personally....your a good person by heart but u might be getting carried away easily........just align your processes and workflow, thats it !...and yes , get hold of a GOOD website managed and built by a pro....simple things reflect bigger aspects........if u need help with this too there are many including me who would be able to offer their/their companies professional services.
