Hi
i have a old white maruti 800.
i am having paints being done at home so i am thinking shd i get deco paint done by the painter via melamine machine?
can anyone tell what will be the expenses :huh:
 
If its an old car and u dont care how it ends up looking then yes..

I just got duco done on my house gate and its started peeling/cracking at a few places, top material, top painter..
 
What is deco paint? I don't think you can use distemper or acrylic emulsion house paint. You require primer + automotive paint + a layer of clear coat. The car is sanded down, dents are corrected and primer is applied. The car is again sanded down and painted and this is repeated some no.of times. After painting is complete, the clear coat is applied.

I don't exactly remember the steps but I had my car repainted about two years ago and I can tell you that it needs to be done by professionals if you want it looking like a new car.
 
Recently i got an quote of 9k for my Sentro (metallic silver) for fully body paint from a local workshop. For non-metallic colour it should be lesser. But price may differ place to place.
 
Well my marut is alsmot 15 yr old and we need to get a new fitness certificate for the next 5 years from license authority. For that we need to get denting/painting done :ashamed:
