Defy CM7 installation problem

Spend whole of my vacation on installing CM7
and I am where I started from (thank God i made complete nandroid backups)

there were 2 problems faced by me

1) I did performed Nandroid backup from ROM manager using Clockworkmod v3.x on my stock 2GB card
= than I placed my 16GB class 4 card in slot and started the flashing procedure, etc.
= going for Fixed SBF i'll need my nandroid backup to be installed again
but in recovery mode or thru ROM manager i was unable to locate this recovery from 16GB card (i made same directory structure as 2 gb card and than tried)
= So i was unable to perform Nandroid backup

2) I was installed CM7 using Nordic SBF
= after installing SBF, my phone went to "emergency calls" mode.
= for some times vodafone signal appeared and that too very weak.
= I installed CM7 RC1V2
= still same problem with mobile network

How can i solve these 2 problems
also how can i install all my previously installed apps on CM7
I have there nandroid backup as well as Titanium backup for apps.

I dunno about the first question, but for the second one,

Use a baseband switcher to get network..

Ps: you'd be better off searching, covered a lot of times right here in TE and over at Xda..

I did searched a lot but did'nt got "baseband switcher" mentioned anywhere
