Delayed LAN/WAN Connection

3 days back i installed Office 2010 but later un-installed it since then i have seen very slow startup, the Lan Connection(Internet) icon appears after 2 minutes of computer startup, earlier it used to be within 10 seconds.Have checked for malware, unknown services everything seems fine but lan is taking too long

I'm Windows Xp SP3
 
Just curious to know if you're using Microsoft .NET framework v4?

If so, Right click on My Computer > Manage > Expand the services > Search for Microsoft .NET framework > Double click on it > Set it to disabled > Reboot.

Should fix the issue.
 
Hmm. seems like Office 2010 install might have enabled some services i also saw Firewall and other services turned on , will check them
 
also get to safe mode with networking and see if the net icon comes fine then a sytem restore can aslo help.
